UCC Client Service Assistant

Overview

We are currently looking for an entry level administrative person who has some experience with DCIS (Delaware Corporate Information System) and familiarity with UCC (Uniform Commercial Code). The right individual will have an interest in the legal field, be highly detailed, well-spoken, and be able to do heavy data entry. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or service company. The position provides support for the UCC department working remotely and must be able to travel to our Dover office. This is a fast-paced environment where flexibility, resourcefulness, and efficiency are key to success in this role.

Must be physically located in Delaware and able to work from home and commute to the Dover office.

Essential Job Functions:

This job description summarizes the primary and essential duties required for this position but are only a portion of all duties. Other related duties may be assigned as needed by management. The responsibilities listed below, under the supervision of management, are as follows:

  • Coordinate with other team members and support ongoing Delaware UCC searching and filing projects
  • Data entry into DCIS daily
  • Assist in answering incoming calls
  • Developing professional working relationship with all UCS correspondents and filing agents
  • Prioritizing daily tasks to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Reviewing legal documentation where attention to detail is a must
  • Assisting with the maintenance of internal knowledgebase

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and as an individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as, computers, copiers, calculators, and printers
  • Excellent research skills
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Subject matter expertise in UCC filing and document retrieval process is a plus, but not required
