Due to an increase in COVID metrics within the State, the Illinois Secretary of State will be closed January 3rd – January 24th. The State will be closed to the public and over-the-counter filing submissions will NOT be accepted during this time.
The State will continue to process remotely on-line document filings and copy requests only. All penalties and interest assessed for Corporations during this time will be suspended.
Filings will be submitted to the State on a first in-first out basis upon their re-opening which means there will be extreme delays.
The Illinois Secretary of State is 12/29 is expected to be open 12/30.
