Home Delaware, New Jersey & Virginia SOS announce that their office is closed Friday, June 18th in observance of Juneteenth

Governor John Carney of Delaware, recently announced that Friday, June 18, 2021, will be an additional holiday for state government in honor of Juneteenth and that government offices will be closed that day.

Key points to know:

Corporate

  • You will not be able to obtain the file date of June 18, 2021 unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • June 18, 2021 can be used as a future effective date.
  • Filing evidence will not be received on June 18th.
  • Good Standings, Certified Copies, and Plain Copies will be available as usual.
  • The ability to reserve names, pay franchise tax, confirm good standing status and obtain blank annual reports will not be affected by the closure.


UCC

  • UCC Filings cannot obtain the June 18, 2021 file date UNLESS they are filed via XML.
  • Filing evidence will not be received on June 18th.
  • UCC Searches will not be affected by the closure and will be processed throughout the day.
