State of Delaware – Early Closure – Employee Event – Friday, May 6, 2022

On Friday, May 6th, an off-site Employee Recognition event is planned for all employees of the Delaware Division of Corporations. All Delaware employees are scheduled to depart the office at 10:30 a.m. and there will not be an evening shift. As a result, the following changes will be in effect:

• There will be no Same Day service.  
• All 30-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour must be received by the state by 9 A.M.
• All 24 Hour filings must be received by 12 noon. 
• No evidence of filings will be issued after 10:30 A.M.

Please note that UCS can still submit documents to secure May 6th as the filing date up until 10:29 p.m. but your submission will be processed on Monday, May 9th under the requested priority service. Expect delays on receiving evidence when the state reopens. Let us know if you would like to upgrade your submission on Monday, May 9th to receive a faster turnaround.

There is also the option to submit documents using May 6th as a future effective date if you would like to receive evidence of filing prior to May 6th.

Although the Delaware Secretary of State employees will be offsite, UCS is still able perform the following services:

• Obtain Good Standing Certificates/Certified Copies/Status checks
• File annual reports and pay franchise taxes
• Obtain Apostilles
• Conduct UCC searches
• File UCC1 and UCC3 electronically
