On Monday, June 20th, in observance of Juneteenth, the following Secretary of State offices will be closed:

  • Alabama
  • Colorado
  • DC
  • Delaware
  • Georgia
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Dakota
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • West Virginia (closed for West Virginia Day)

Key points to know regarding the Delaware Secretary of State closing:

Corporate

  • You will not be able to obtain the file date of June 20, 2022 unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • June 20, 2022 can be used as a future effective date.
  • Filing evidence will not be received on June 20th.
  • Good Standings, Certified Copies, and Plain Copies will be available as usual.
  • The ability to reserve names, pay franchise tax, confirm good standing status and obtain blank annual reports will not be affected by the closure.

UCC

  • UCC Filings cannot obtain the June 20, 2022 file date UNLESS they are filed via XML.
  • Filing evidence will not be received on June 20th.
  • UCC Searches will not be affected by the closure and will be processed throughout the day.
